"My passion for student-centered learning and student’s professional development has inspired me to research focusing on self-directed learning and the social construction of student learning in the context of Universities of Applied Sciences". 

During Haldin’s over 15 years as a teacher and educationalist, she has continuously contributed to the pedagogical development at the UAS. Her main interest lies in both student-centered curriculum design and competence-based curriculum design. An important part of her work with curriculum development has been networking with other Higher Education Institutions in Europe and in the Nordic countries.
